My reason for wanting to switch to bit is because a lot of games nowadays are only being made for bit systems. That seems to be the way things are going. It's the price of progress, I suppose. I know next to nothing about games, so I can't comment on that. But it is certainly true that more and more software of all types will be written for bit Windows and before much more time has passed, only old software will be bit.
