The very walls of the chapel have bones in them, with cement holding everything together. Even the pillars supporting the ceiling have skulls running up and down them.

Built in the 16th century, the Capela dos Ossos or Chapel of Bones was built with the goal of pointing out how short life is.

Pause … You have no greater concern than this one. I am enjoying that part more than the story for some of them. This is one of them. King tells us he has written over poems his time as a writer and he rarely publishes them. This is one he feels was pretty good. I do read some poetry here and there, but it's not something I'm well read.

Still, I don't remember much from this story even after just reading it. It has faded from my mind. Yes, I have been there. I put it on my list to visit on my first visit to Prague in and regretted missing it, so when I went back with a car in , I stopped in Kutna Hora on the way back to Prague. The church is It's really interesting and unique, but to be honest, I was a bit underwhelmed.

It's a lot of effort to get there just to see it. It's most certainly worth visiting if you are nearby or if you want to do a day trip to Kutna Hora itself and see the church also - but I personally don't think it's worth the effort to get out there just to see the bone church.
